Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are a form of microscopic injury to the skin’s supporting structure that develop when the skin is stretched more quickly than it can adapt. Over time, this results in thinning of the skin, textural change, and visible color variation. While stretch marks cannot be erased, their appearance can be meaningfully improved with thoughtful, collagen-focused treatment.

Stretch Marks

At Skinfocused, treatment is directed toward strengthening the skin and improving texture, rather than chasing quick or superficial fixes.

How Stretch Mark Treatment Works

Effective stretch mark treatment focuses on stimulating new collagen, improving dermal quality, and hastening the resolution of any color differentials. Depending on the location, age of the stretch marks, and skin type, we may recommend one or a combination of the following:

  • ResurFX fractional laser to stimulate collagen remodeling and improve texture

  • Microneedling to encourage controlled skin regeneration

  • Vbeam pulsed dye laser is used to address redness associated with newer stretch marks

  • Genius RF microneedling to deliver targeted radiofrequency energy deeper into the dermis for enhanced tightening and collagen stimulation

  • Dilute Radiesse to support biostimulation and improve skin thickness and resilience if skin laxity is present

Treatments are customized and often layered over time to achieve gradual, natural improvement.

Downtime & Results

Recovery varies depending on the modality used but is generally limited to mild redness and short-lived discoloration. Most patients resume normal activities quickly after treatments.

There is a gradual improvement in texture and skin strength, as stretch marks become softer, smoother, and less noticeable. Best results are achieved with a series of treatments. The goal is refinement and improvement—not necessarily complete elimination.
