Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) system is a light-based treatment designed to improve uneven skin tone, redness, and sun-related discoloration. Using targeted pulses of broad-spectrum light, IPL addresses pigment and vascular irregularities while preserving the integrity of surrounding skin. This treatment is ideal for patients seeking a more luminous appbrighter, clearer, more even skin with minimal downtime and gradual, natural-looking improvement.
How IPL Works
IPL delivers controlled pulses of light energy that selectively target excess pigment and visible blood vessels in the skin. The M22 IPL light system allows for precise customization of the wavelength, pulse duration, and energy levels—ensuring treatments are tailored to your skin type, concerns, and goals.

What IPL Treats
IPL improves the appearance of sun damage and brown spots as well as background redness, flushing, and broken capillaries. After completion of a treatment course, the skin often looks more luminous and clear. IPL is most commonly performed on the face, neck, chest, and hands.
Ideal Candidates
IPL is best suited for patients who have light to medium skin tones and are bothered by color variation on their skin. This is a non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime which allows for gradual and cumulative improvement over time.
Downtime & Results
Typical downtime is minimal, with immediate mild redness or warmth for several hours. As the pigmented spots absorb the light energy, they may temporarily darken or appear like small spots of "coffee grinds" over the sun spot, which then will fade over the next 5 to 10 days.
Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Makeup can typically be applied the same day or the following morning. Within a few weeks after the treatment, the skin appears brighter and more even. A series of treatments is often recommended for optimal results.
With proper sun protection and medical-grade skincare, results can be long-lasting and cumulative.
