How Lip Enhancement Works

Lip enhancement is typically performed using hyaluronic acid–based dermal fillers, which integrate naturally into the tissue to provide structure and hydration. When placed thoughtfully and conservatively, fillers can enhance lip shape, definition, and symmetry while maintaining softness and flexibility. Treatment planning considers lip anatomy, facial proportions, age-related changes, and how the lips move at rest and in expression.

Downtime & Results

Immediately after injection, a temporary swelling of the lips may occur, which is controlled with ice application and post-treatment instructions. Short-lived bruising may also occur. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Results are visible immediately, with refinement as swelling resolves. Lips appear smoother, softer, and more proportionate. The most successful outcomes are subtle, balanced, and harmonious with the rest of the face.
