LaseMD Ultra is a non-ablative fractional laser designed to improve skin tone, texture, and overall skin quality through controlled, precise energy delivery. By stimulating natural skin renewal while preserving the surface of the skin, LaseMD Ultra supports gradual collagen remodeling with minimal downtime.

This 1927 nanometer laser operates at a wavelength similar to the superficial non-ablative fractional setting of Fraxel®, allowing for effective treatment of pigmentation and early textural changes with minimal downtime.

For our patients who are seeking a lighter refresh with minimal downtime, treatment intensity can be reduced. This protocol developed by Dr. Kosann, an approach we refer to as Glow & Go, allows for maximum brightness without the post-treatment recovery. And, without heat build up in the skin, this is an ideal treatment for patients who suffer from melasma.

At Skinfocused, LaseMD Ultra is used thoughtfully—as a standalone treatment or as part of a comprehensive skin strategy—always guided by medical judgment and long-term skin health.

How LaseMD Ultra Works

LaseMD Ultra delivers fractional laser energy to the superficial layers of the skin, creating uniform micro-channels without removing the skin’s surface. These channels trigger a regenerative response while also serving as temporary pathways for active topical ingredients.

What LaseMD Ultra Treats

  • Uneven skin tone and sun damage

  • Early textural changes

  • Mild pigmentation irregularities

  • Dull or rough skin

  • Overall skin quality and radiance

LaseMD Ultra is commonly used on the face, neck, chest, and hands, and may be extended to other areas as appropriate.

Downtime & Results

Downtime is minimal, with most patients experiencing blotchiness for 1 to 2 days. Skin may have a sandpaper-like texture that can be felt, but not seen. Any sun spots may absorb the laser energy and temporarily develop a 'coffee grind' appearance. Regular activities may be resumed the following day, and tinted sunblock may also be applied.

Skin appears brighter and smoother within days; texture and tone continue to improve over several weeks. Collagen remodeling and skin strengthening progress over time. A series of treatments is often recommended for optimal and sustained results.
