ResurFX™ Fractional Laser

ResurFX is a non-ablative fractional laser designed to improve skin texture, fine lines, early laxity, stretch marks, and scars by stimulating the skin’s natural collagen production—without removing the surface layer of skin. With microscopic laser light, ResurFX precisely focuses on treating the damaged skin, while the surrounding intact skin allows rapid healing. With little downtime, brand new collagen is regenerated, resulting in a tighter, more youthful appearance.

How ResurFX Works

ResurFX uses fractional laser technology to create precise columns of thermal energy beneath the skin’s surface. These microscopic treatment zones trigger collagen remodeling and new collagen formation while leaving surrounding tissue intact.

The wavelength used by ResurFX is similar to that of other well-established non-ablative fractional lasers, such as Fraxel®, allowing for effective collagen stimulation with a favorable safety profile when thoughtfully performed.

ResurFX™ is commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest, and may be used on other areas as appropriate.

Downtime & Results

Immediately post-treatment, mild redness or warmth is expected for for several hours. Skin may feel slightly dry or sensitive for a few days, and a pink blotchiness may persist for 1 to 3 days. Depending on the physician's choice of energy level, some patients may experience short-lived and mild swelling. Most patients return to normal activities immediately. Tinted sunblock is typically permitted the next day. Skin texture and tone begin to improve within weeks, and the collagen remodeling process continues over several months. Best results are often achieved with a series of three treatments. Over time, skin appears smoother, firmer, and more refined—without appearing over-treated.

Thoughtful Targeting: Fractionated Duo, Photofractional Treatments, Light & Bright

At Skinfocused, our physicians may customize our laser treatments by combining with other devices for an efficient and effective laser treatment regimen. ResurFX may be combined with IPL to address both texture and pigment through Photofractional treatment, or Dr. Kosann or Dr. Levine may recommend pairing the ResurFX with LaseMD for a Fraxel-like resurfacing approach known as our Fractionated Duo.
